Company Membership is a commercial visibility and participation package for UK semiconductor-sector companies. £1,250 + VAT per year. It is entirely separate from the independent Company Index, where inclusion and status are never for sale.
What is Company Membership?
Company Membership is an annual commercial package, £1,250 + VAT per year, for companies active in the UK semiconductor sector. It combines Company Member recognition with an included industry announcement, senior appointment listing and event entry, editorially reviewed updates to your own record, sector briefings, research participation and member pricing on further placements.
It is not a donation, an association subscription, or a paid directory listing. It buys visibility and participation — never editorial treatment. The Company Index remains independently compiled and editorially controlled, and Verified and Mapped status are decided on evidence alone.
What membership does not do
Membership cannot affect whether a company appears in the Company Index, how it is described, how it is classified, where it sits in the list, or whether it is Verified or Mapped. There is no paid inclusion, no paid ranking and no editorial preference. Membership status is recorded separately from research data, and the full rules are set out in the editorial and commercial policy and the index methodology.
Where members are seen
Semiconductor.co.uk maps 389 UK semiconductor-sector companies — 233 Verified and 156 Mapped records awaiting full verification — alongside sector analysis, regional cluster resources, investment coverage, events and announcements. Buyers, partners, investors, policy researchers and candidates use those pages to understand who does what in the UK, and increasingly so do AI assistants summarising the sector.
Specialist UK semiconductor activity is often hard to find. A company can be internationally significant in its niche and still be invisible to someone researching capability from outside the sector. Membership gives you a small number of permanent, well-placed pages that answer that research directly.

One qualifying industry announcement
£495 + VAT valueOne announcement covering a genuine development — investment, facility, funding, product or contract — published as a dated page after editorial review.
One senior appointment listing
£495 + VAT valueOne leadership or specialist role carried in the senior appointments section for 30 days, reviewed before publication.
One industry event entry
£395 + VAT valueOne conference, briefing or open day relevant to the UK semiconductor sector, held until the event has taken place.
Editorially reviewed company updates
IncludedFactual updates to your own record — location, capability wording, website, ownership — are reviewed and applied promptly when supported by first-party evidence.
Sector briefings and research participation
IncludedMembers receive periodic sector briefings and are invited to contribute to research calls, surveys and sector questions where relevant.
Member pricing on further placements
IncludedAdditional announcements, appointments, events and bespoke projects are charged at member rates for the duration of the membership year.
The included announcement, appointment and event are available during the membership year and expire at the end of it. Bought separately at standard rates, those three placements total £1,385 + VAT.

Does membership affect whether my company appears in the Company Index?
No. The Company Index is compiled independently from first-party evidence. Membership cannot buy inclusion, a higher position, a more favourable description, a different classification, or Verified status.
Is this a directory listing?
No. Membership is a commercial visibility and participation package. Index records are editorial and separate, and exist whether or not a company is a member.
What happens after I apply?
Your application is reviewed for sector relevance. If it is suitable, membership terms are confirmed, an invoice is issued, and membership is activated once payment is arranged. There is no online checkout and nothing is charged automatically.
What does membership cost?
£1,250 + VAT per year.
Do the included placements carry over?
No. The included announcement, appointment and event are available during the membership year and expire at the end of it.
Are member announcements guaranteed to be published?
Submissions must be genuine and accurate and are reviewed before publication. Editorial standards apply to members exactly as they do to anyone else.
Are links in member placements search-engine followed?
No. Links within commercial placements are marked so that search engines do not treat them as editorial endorsements. This site does not sell backlinks.
Can membership be cancelled?
Membership runs for twelve months from activation. It does not renew automatically without confirmation.
