Company overview
Advanced Hall Sensors is a University of Manchester spin-out that designs and produces magnetic sensors based on its own compound semiconductor quantum well Hall effect (QWHE) structure. The sensors are made in a class 1000 cleanroom in Trafford Park and offer higher sensitivity, dynamic range and temperature stability than conventional silicon Hall devices. They are used in precision metrology, current sensing and non-destructive testing, and the company builds instruments on the sensor, including magnetic imaging arrays. Its work was recognised with an Institute of Physics Business Award in 2020.
