Company profile
Dynex Semiconductor
Lincoln manufacturer of high-power semiconductor modules, thyristors and IGBT devices for rail traction, energy transmission and industrial drive systems.
Company overview
Headquartered in Lincoln, Dynex designs and manufactures high-power semiconductors and power assemblies, with an in-house manufacturing plant in the UK. Its operations cover semiconductor design, wafer fabrication, assembly, testing and application engineering, supporting both standard products and customised solutions. The portfolio includes IGBT modules, thyristors, gate turn-off thyristors, diodes, silicon carbide modules and gallium nitride modules. Phase control thyristors span voltage ratings from 1,200 V to 8,500 V. Dynex also designs and manufactures rectifier and converter assemblies, and provides contract assembly services. Its online IGBT and bipolar selection tools allow users to compare component configurations under specified operating conditions. Applications include renewable energy, HVDC and grid infrastructure, rail, industrial drives, electric mobility and fusion research. Dynex is a subsidiary of Zhuzhou CRRC Times Electric Corporation Ltd, within the CRRC Group, and states that it can outsource high-volume production to facilities in China.
