Phlux Technology is a Sheffield company that designs infrared avalanche photodiodes (APDs) for 1550nm light. Its Aura family of Noiseless InGaAs APDs use a proprietary structure to achieve much lower noise and higher sensitivity than conventional InGaAs APDs, and are offered as bare die, fibre-pigtailed or in standard packages as drop-in replacements. Target uses are laser range finders, LiDAR, and optical time-domain reflectometers and fibre sensing.
