Company profile

ReliaSat

Swindon developer of K- and Ka-band GaAs and GaN MMICs for satellite communications and radar.

Company overview

ReliaSat develops millimetre-wave MMICs and subsystems from its head office in Swindon, Wiltshire. Its semiconductor portfolio covers K- and Ka-band devices built on gallium arsenide and gallium nitride processes, including power and low-noise amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, switches, phase shifters and frequency-conversion functions. These chips target satellite communications payloads and ground terminals, radar and defence applications, where performance at millimetre-wave frequencies is critical. Alongside the MMIC range, the company supplies antennas, transceivers and amplifier modules, allowing it to integrate its silicon into complete RF subsystems. ReliaSat's Swindon operation places millimetre-wave chip design within the south west's RF and microwave community, and its product range addresses the growing demand for high-frequency semiconductors in satellite broadband and defence electronics.
