Semefab, in Glenrothes, Fife, is an independent silicon wafer foundry for MEMS devices and integrated circuits, making products for customers to their designs. It has manufactured power semiconductors since the 1980s and is extending into silicon carbide Schottky barrier diodes and IGBTs, including through the Questsemi brand in Australia. In 2022 it stopped manufacturing on 4-inch wafers, and it formed an RF MEMS alliance with Taicaan Research in 2021.
