AccelerComm

AccelerComm develops physical-layer processing intellectual property for 5G and satellite communications from its base at Southampton Science Park in Chilworth. Its products include LDPC and Polar forward-error-correction encoders and decoders, supplied as IP cores for FPGA and ASIC implementation, alongside complete physical-layer solutions for terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks. The company's technology is designed for applications where spectral efficiency and power consumption are constrained, and it states that its IP powers hundreds of production satellites in orbit. Spun out of the University of Southampton, AccelerComm licenses its IP to satellite operators, equipment manufacturers and chip designers, and provides engineering support for integration into customer silicon and systems. Its engineering team works from the Southampton Science Park, within the south coast's communications-technology cluster.
