Leybold UK Ltd is the British arm of Leybold, the vacuum-technology company within the Atlas Copco group, and is based at Silverglade Business Park in Chessington. The UK operation provides sales, customer care and field service for Leybold's range of vacuum pumps, systems and related services. Leybold states that its vacuum systems create the production conditions required for industrial semiconductor manufacturing, and its dry pumps, turbomolecular pumps and vacuum systems are widely used in wafer-fabrication and related processes. The Chessington team supports UK semiconductor, research and industrial customers with specification, installation support, maintenance and repair. While manufacturing takes place within the wider international group, the UK organisation gives British fabs and research facilities local access to vacuum expertise and service capability.
