Company profile

PQShield

Oxford company supplying post-quantum cryptographic hardware IP for ASIC and FPGA implementation.

Company overview

PQShield is an Oxford-based cryptography company whose products include hardware intellectual property for post-quantum security in semiconductors. Its PQPerform-Inferno hardware accelerator implements the ML-KEM and ML-DSA post-quantum algorithms standardised by NIST, with AXI4 interfaces for integration into ASIC and FPGA designs. Alongside the hardware IP, the company supplies cryptographic software libraries and side-channel-analysis-resistant implementations for embedded systems. Spun out of the University of Oxford, PQShield works with chipmakers, defence organisations and infrastructure providers preparing systems for the transition to quantum-resistant cryptography. Its engineering team is based in Oxford, and its hardware IP gives semiconductor designers a route to embed standardised post-quantum algorithms directly into silicon rather than relying on software alone.
